BJJ is a grappling style that grew out of Judo.
It emphasizes fighting on the ground- specifically focusing on how to reach a controlling position and then finish an opponent with a choke or joint lock (there are no strikes). Sparring is a major part of training, and ranking is normally based on student performance.

The entire reason we are here is to help you learn from the start, and teach you how to become a submission EXPERT!

there is no pressure to fight or compete at this school.

The best way to get in shape for jiu jitsu, is to do jiu jitsu.
You should dive right in and start training, as your fitness and skill level will improve by attending class regularly. If you’re holding off because you think you should be in “shape” first, you may never get round to actually training. Just come on in and get started.
We have classes for both children and adults.

Our students range from 6 to 80 years old.

The intro class is a one-one with one of our World Class Instructors. We go over some of the basics before coming into a live class. This is also a great time to go over any questions you may have.
